It's useful to be doing what we can - physically - on our own homes but improved thermal performance on a grand scale is going to take more neighbourhood conversations about what we can do together. That's why we used an energy company's sustainability competition to begin further conversations on our street. The competition invited us to submit videos, pictures and stories about our street. This could put us in the running for a series of sustainable products packages for each participant home owner on the street. Now whilst - with our limited video editing skills - we didn't win, we managed in one short burst to get much closer acquainted with our neighbours and sow the seeds for some deeper neighbourliness in the future. So, in that way we did win. The video and some of the pictures from our entry are appended to this post.
